TikTok soft-launches new ‘TikTok for Artists’ platform

TikTok has officially soft-launched ‘TikTok for Artists‘, a dedicated platform designed to help musicians manage their presence, engage with fans, and enhance their music’s reach on TikTok. This initiative offers a suite of tools and features tailored to support artists in navigating the platform effectively.

Promotional Tools: Artists can initiate campaigns for upcoming releases, drive pre-saves on streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, and launch exclusive merchandise drops to monetise their fan base.

Artist Certification: By obtaining a certified artist account, musicians unlock features that boost discoverability, such as the ‘Artist’ tag displayed under their account name. Eligibility requires having at least four songs uploaded to the platform.

Analytics and Insights: The platform offers detailed analytics, enabling artists to monitor content performance and understand audience demographics, including geographic distribution and engagement patterns.

Music Tab Management: Artists can curate their music tab to showcase their discography and highlight new releases.

Fan Engagement Features: The new ‘Music Tab Fan Spotlight’ allows artists to highlight fan-created videos, fostering community and encouraging user-generated content.

Once certified, they can access the ‘Artist Hub’ through TikTok Studio to manage their Music Tab, highlight new releases, and utilise the various tools and analytics provided by the platform.
