Hori Shaw is a reggae/roots artist hailing from a small town in New Zealand. Officially starting his musical journey just last year after a hunting injury led him to leave his previous job, he has since experienced a monumental year filled with significant milestones. Among his achievements are two gold certifications for his songs “Country Roads” and “Paradise 35.”
Currently, Hori boasts an impressive four placements in the Official Top 20 NZ Singles, as well frequent appearances on the Hot Singles charts. At the Aotearoa Music Awards that took place in May, Hori Shaw also took out the People’s Choice Award. Humbly accepting his award in true Kiwi fashion – wearing Redband Gumboots.
Despite not being in the music scene very long, he has swiftly built himself a devoted fanbase nationwide with his powerful sound. A sound that both reggae lovers globally and New Zealander’s can resonate with.
